There are a lot of excellent websites, but most of them either focus on design or on content. There are not many sites that excel in both areas. For this reason we decided to offer two awards of equal value, one of them for sites that feature outstanding design, and the other one for sites with excellent content.

If the jury is convinced that the applying website deserves the top-rating of three stars even for a category which the site did not apply for, it can honor the website with the highest award - the Dandie GoldenStar - as an acknowledgement of being superb in design as well as content.
