Dandie Dinmont

James Davidson - Dandie DinmontTomb of James Davidson

We then visited the tomb of James Davidson in Oxnam near Jedburgh, a small idyllic amidst the Borders..

Memorial Plaque

The tomb of Davidson was covered by a large memorial plaque describing the part Davidson played as Dandie Dinmont. Reverend Thomson told out of the life of Davidson and of his history.

Reverend Thomson

A prayer closed Reverend Thomson remembering a man having giving his own name to our breed many centuries ago. We then were invited to have an afternoon tea in Oxnam Village Hall.

Evening dawn made the Borders to show in colours full of expression when we started home. A Pre-Show-Dinner ended an impressive and unforgettable day to the past of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier.

Rember of a great Day
