The
Caledonian Dandie Dinmont Terrier Club (CDDTC) got ist acknowledgement from the
Kennel Club (KC) in 1989. Thus the CDDTC is the youngest of the three Dandie Clubs.
The
aims of the Club are: To encourage and promote ownership being true to type
and breeding the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, keeping the original type of the mustard
and pepper terrier, and to promote comradeship of those who admire the breed.
To protect
and to promote the interests of the breed through Exhibitions with guaranteed
classes where prices are presented either in cash or in other kinds as concluded
by the Committee. Shows
and other events are to be performed according to the rules of the Kennel Club
and the Scottish Kennel Club as far as applicable, in Scotland, the Border Counties
or within reasonable accessibility to Scotland.
It
is furthermore an aim to accept and to promote the Standards of the Breed , and
to do all to protect and represent the interests of the breed.
