German Open 2003

Rules of Competition

 

1. Right of Participation:

Each Dandie Dinmont Terrier nominated and shown on CACIB and CAC exhibitions (FCI) in Germany will take part in this international competition.
Exemption: Puppy Class, Honorary Class, and Veteran Class.

2. COMPETITIONS

  • 2.1 Single Competition:
    Each Dandie Dinmont terrier winning certain competitions will get points as per the given SCORING.

  • 2.2 Kennel Competition:
    Starting with the Show Year 2003 the former quantitative scoring of the Show Years 2000, 2001, and 2002 will be modified to a qualitative scoring. However, the rule remains in force that self-bred Dandie Dinmonts being in one's own ownership will be scored differently as will be Dandies of other kennels resp. in other ownership. Please find details as to the scoring under SCORING.

    The right to participate have all German kennels at that time they have their first litter.

3. Everlasting List of the Best:

The everlasting LIST OF BEST will be made up on the basis of the scoring at the end of the year and is continuously kept since starting GERMAN OPEN in 2000. The following competitions are the basis for the scoring:

  • Dogs and Bitches:
    of all classes of age having won 8 points in all the show years of the past. Points won in the Youth Classes will not be counted.

  • Kennel Competition:
    Determinating the successful kennels of Germany by adding all points won.

4. Scoring:

DandieOnline will regularly publish the interim scorings of the current competitions. With regard to the single competitions the at maximum 8 best scorings will be added, with the kennel competition all points of all shows they have take part in.

  • Example 1 for "single cometitions":
    A Dandie has been exhibited in 5 shows:
    All points won in these shows will result in his final scoring.

  • Examplel 2 for "single cometitions":
    A Dandie has been exhibited in 12 shows:
    Only the 8 best scorings will result in his final scoring.

5. Parity in Scorings in the Single Competitions:

In case of parity in scorings the 9th and might be further scorings will be taken into account - as long as the Dandie Dinmont terrier having the highest score is found.

6. Awards:

The winners of the different competitions will officially be published after end of the last day of competition and by a correspondig table of final results.
In case in a current year rewards are granted, they will be presented to the winners the following year, e.g. on the occasion of a Dandie meeting.

In principle, such a reward may not be presented every year, as we are assigned to receive such donations from year to year anew.

These rewards are for Dandies resp. Kennels only having got a scoring at least 4 times. There is in no legal claim to presenting any reward.

7. Legal Procedure:

The owners of the winning Dandie Dinmont terriers by receiving the donation acknowledge the Rules of Competition. There is no legal obligation as to continue the competitions, especially in case the necessary information might not be at hand. No appeal will be admitted.

The rights for the GERMAN OPEN are and will be part of DandieOnline will therefore remain in the hands of the manager (cp. Impressum).
