The
Dandie Dinmont Terrier in Czechia
Additional imports followed from the German kennels "von Barkey's", "vom Parkwald", "Sunjoy's", "Cloverwood" and "German Dandies'". Till the end of the 90s breeding Dandies was effected under the auspices of the CMKU - Ceskomoravská Kynologická Unie, member of the FCI. Breeding Dandie Dinmont Terriers developed quite dynamically from that time on. Up to the year 2000, already more than 600 Dandie Dinmont Terriers have been entered in the Czech Stud Book. In 1999 the Czech Dandie friends se3parated and founded their own Dandie Club called "Klub chovatelu Dandie Dinmont Terrieru". Breeding quite intensively and having highly frequented shows - such as the shows of Brno and Budweis - Czechia surely is to be counted as one of the great Dandie nations of the Continent. |
