We do know that Dandie Dinmont Terriers are held, bred and exhibited in Austria.

Though Austria is a neighbour country to us and we are speaking the same language, we are sorry to report not having succeeded in finding someone who will give us detailed information on the development of the breed Dandie Dinmont Terrier in Austria.

To some extent sure is the information that first breedings have induced in the early 80es by the kennel of German origin "von Beerenkamp", having its residence in Austria for some years. At a later date sporadic litters of the kennels "vom Dandiehaus", "vom Dandiehof", and "vom Babenberger See" have become to be known.

Therefore, we have - more or less - to restrict to pass on to you information on the Clubs and Associations known to us. In the further course of the pages on Austria you will find contacts to breeders. We do hope we can report more in the near future.
