Your
site, "DandieOnline" has qualified for the
Beacon Award for Outstanding Website.
Your
site scored 97 out of 100 points. Obviously, other award sites agree
with my assessment. You have excellent resources for Dandie lovers on
your site. I found navigation to be easy, and the overall site design
to be original and exceptional. You text is clear and easy to read.
And may I say that I admire your policy on awards! I hope that mine
is not worthy of the "scrapyard."
Congratulations
on one of the best web sites I have rated so far.

So, just
who is handing out these awards?
Glad
you asked...
My
name is Vance Elderkin. I teach in the Department of Communication
at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, United
States of America, specializing in Mediated Communication. I have
created and maintain several web sites, both academic and non-academic.
I am neither a whizbang computer programmer nor a gifted graphic artist.
I have no desire to be either. I simply learn what I need to learn,
and use the necessary tools to get the job done.
In
other words, I think I know a few things about web sites, and more
than a few things about communicating information. My career has been
dedicated to the idea that the medium is NOT the message.
I
must point out, to cover my legal keyster, that the Beacon Awards
are created and administered solely by me. The Beacon Awards have
absolutely no affiliation or association with the Department of Communication
or North Carolina State University.
