In
December 1999 and 12 months of age I came to my new adopted parents
in Linz-Urfahr. At first I couldn't believe it - really, someone had
time for me, I learned to know a lot of plays, and had a great many
of walks full of events. I was allowed to pet at pleasure and temper
and was cuddled. From now on I did not need to alone in the house, and
my panic fright of staying alone in the car will disappear day by day.
On time, I even did bite my "first owner" in his hand when
he once again tried to hinder me from getting out of the car. And what
was more, when in my desperation I did tear even the safety belts to
piece - that was more than enough for my "first owners"! Dandie
mother Ilse Zwettler intervened and gave me my new much loved and very
understanding adopted parents - by the way their name is Röckendorfer!
From the first night on in my new home - hey, where are allowed things
like these - I was allowed to stay in the large basket for humans, contrary
to the ruling of by my humans agreed upon at first: "The dog is
not allowed to be in the bed!" Well, I am a Dandie - ruling null
and void! It went without saying that I was quiet as a mouse, nearly
without any motion. Snuggled against my mistress I felt like in dogs'
paradise.
Up
to now I did not know what fan one can have with humans. I am thinking
my "Röckis" have retired just for me, to run about and
to play with me. They said I had become their jolly little rascal and
their daily sunshine - always friendly and jolly to all of them dogs
and humans.
As
my "Röckis" have had so much fun with me they decided
to double that joy and to give me a comrade for playing. That became
reality indeed - a vivacious one enriched our team and that is why
he is named "Wild Storm of Wild Orchids". We call him "Speedy"
because he can run incredibly fast.
There is going on a lot in the house of Röckendorfer - even
my master keeps up going on all fours!We understand each other in
a splendid way, and the "Röckies" say he is a clown
as I am! Sometimes when playing, "Speedy" is seeking the
nipples on my belly for drinking milk and I keep lying on my back
waiting for him to notice that he is wrong.
My "Röckies" think the two of us really are the better
TV program and wonder that could be happy that long without Dandies??
