Memory Of 2001 |
Death is grievous for those who have to witness a comrade departing from us, a comrade having accompanied us through our life for many years and whom we grew fond of. However, death belongs to life and our Creator did not provide for a life without death. Death may be a recall from an accomplished life or even a salvation from disease and long illness. Considering this, we depart from our beloved dog in deep mourning, keeping in mind all the lovely memories that will remain in our hearts firm and forever. |

September 29th, 2000, was the first day for Humphrey to stay with us and from that time on the sun was shining for us every day. Humphrey was such a lovely chap that it is hard to believe that he is not with us any longer. Just from the very first day he and his pet toy "Willi" and his pet blanket were inseparable. They had to accompany him to everywhere: to the offices, to every visit, and of course to the holidays - to Austria. This year in July we have had our walking tours. Humphrey had been only twelve months of age, yet none of the mountains was too high for him and no excursion was too far. We humans had been completely worn out sometimes, but that little chap kept on running before us with wonderful shining eyes: It was just marvellous.
In the offices and at home, too, he was always ready to start if you said: "Come on, Humphrey, it's cleaning time." He then immediately ran off like a harum-scarum to fetch the broom: Simply amazing, his eagerness. On December 21st, 2001, this little chap had to part from us because of an accident with a car. Though he managed to get back to the office the veterinarian notwithstanding giving immediate assistance, could only certify his death. Humphrey died of cerebral bleedings. In this case any human help was deemed to fail. We will never forget these wonderful few months we had been allowed to spend with our beloved Humphrey. |
