Our second trial to be successful in the UK brought us to the 'Three Counties' in Malvern in Middle England.

The Malvern Showground is situated within a rather pitoresque valley to which we have had a phantastique view from our hotel 'Cottage in the Wood'.

There were 37 Dandies ready to be judged by Mr Keith Derry of the famous Dandie kennel 'Vistca'.

While 'Nevio' succeeded in beating the winner the 'National Terrier', Mr Derry found a male of the Puppy Class to be better and let him win the CC. Though 'Nevio' won the 'Open Class', he became only the second best male in the end.

Tragic for us, 'Nevio' - immediately before entering the ring - had been heavily been hurt by a Bullterrier, who in the narrow passage was conducted by a too long leash. Lateron it showed that the injuries had been so serious that 'Nevio' had to undergo a surgery.

Our 'Naomi', World Winner 2010 and by now nine-time Champion, experienced a low point in her three-year international show career. This time she won only the fourth and last place in the 'Open Class', though being shown in top condition and after the RCC in the 'National' in May.

RESULTS

Die 'National Terrier' ist die traditionsreichste und größte Terrierausstellung Englands. Viele Terrierleute stufen diese Ausstellung noch höher und wichtiger ein als CRUFTS. Wie jedes Jahr findet diese Veranstaltung Anfang April im englischen Stafford nahe Birmingham, in den Hallen von "Bingley Hall County Showground", statt. Mit 61 Meldungen übertraf die 'National' diesmal sogar CRUFTS, die 'nur' 48 Meldungen aufweisen konnte.

In diesem Jahr hatten wir uns entschlossen mit Nevio und Naomi nach England zu reisen um uns mit den besten Dandie Dinmont Terriern Großbritanniens zu messen. Nachdem uns durch die fehlende ATC-Nummer wehrt war schon bei CRUFTS anzutreten, hatten wir aber die Möglichkeit die renomierte 'NATIONAL' zu besuchen.

Es hat wohl 'nur' zum RCC gereicht, trotzdem möchten wir diesem für uns so wichtigen Ereignis eine spezielle Seite widmen, denn uns stehen nicht nur Fotos und fünf Videofilme, sondern auch die Beurteilungen der Richterin zur Verfügung.

Richterin war an diesem Tage Mrs Kate Irwing (GB), welche Nevio und Naomi jeweils das ReserveCC zuerkannte.

pepper, excellent head & eye, good skull shape, correct stop. A bit overdone in outline & length. Coat OK with the correct texture but a bit over presented in head. Showed very stylishly & moved out well.

pepper, good bitch who was unlucky to meet such strong competition here. Typical in head & expression, excellent coat texture with furnishings just a shade overdone. Moved out very well.
